SoulLocket User Guide
Check your account and data space before using pairing, diaries and the features available in your app version.
English translation of the same document version. Contact support if any wording is unclear or differs between languages.
1. Getting started
- Register/sign in using your chosen method. Read the terms, policies and privacy choices.
- Complete profile/House setup if requested. Check your name, avatar and account email in Settings.
- Grant camera, microphone, location or notification permissions only when you need the related feature. You can change permissions in your operating system.
- Read First Setup and save a short entry to check synchronization.
2. Pairing and different QR codes
Pairing two accounts
- Open Settings → Connect with your partner.
- The person who wants to keep their House chooses Create your code, selects an expiry period and sends the 12-digit invitation or QR to their partner.
- The other person chooses Enter your partner's code, then types/pastes the code or scans the invitation QR.
- Read the data warning, send the request and wait for the creator's approval. Knowing a House ID does not automatically grant access.
- When complete, check both avatars, names and the connection date. The “Connect with your partner” shortcut also shows both avatars and the connection status.
Three different types of codes
- Pairing code/QR: an expiring, single-use invitation that requires approval.
- Login QR: the device wanting to sign in displays the code; an already signed-in device scans and confirms it when this flow is available. Do not scan strangers' login codes.
- Profile/House QR: opens a profile or shares according to the feature; it does not itself grant membership.
Choosing “Couple” in settings does not mean you are paired. If you already have a partner but still see code creation, check the account/House and connection, then contact support; do not create a new House to troubleshoot.
3. Writing reflections and saving memories
- Open Diary, then choose Reflections to write or Memories to add photos.
- Select your mood/content and save. Wait for success, then check that the entry/photo appears in the list.
- If the session has expired, keep a copy of unsent content before signing back in to the correct account.
- If synchronization is incomplete, check connectivity, the correct House and upload status. Do not clear app data or uninstall while unsynchronized drafts remain.
Export/download content using available features and verify the saved files. Exported files are outside the app's privacy controls; store them safely.
4. Chat, community and utilities
Use the sections available in your app version to message, share content, view maps or open utilities/games. Not every feature is available on every platform.
- Check recipients and visibility before sending posts, photos, cards or links.
- Maps/location sharing may run in the background when enabled and permitted; turn it off in the feature or operating system when you no longer want to share.
- Recording requires the microphone; taking photos or scanning QR codes requires the camera. Text-only messaging does not require camera/microphone access simply to send text.
- Report/block or contact support if harassed. AI is for reference only; do not send account secrets to AI.
5. Security and synchronization
Enable PIN/biometric locking if supported, review signed-in devices and check privacy settings. A PIN locks access to the interface; it does not itself change your House partner's permissions.
Signing in to the correct account on a new device may restore synchronized data. Drafts, caches, local-only content or pending uploads may not transfer. Before switching devices, verify your data and export anything important.
Do not share passwords, PINs, one-time codes or login QR codes. Redact private information in error screenshots.
6. Transactions and benefits
If your app version offers paid features, read prices, duration and renewal terms on the confirmation screen. Use the purchasing store account to restore benefits. For missing benefits/rewards, send the transaction ID or event time to support for reconciliation; do not buy again as a troubleshooting step.
Uninstalling the app or deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription. Manage plans through the relevant payment platform. See the transaction conditions.
7. Troubleshooting
- Sign-in/expired session: check connectivity, device time and the correct account sign-in method. Save drafts before signing out.
- Invitation error: check all 12 digits, expiry, whether it has been used or awaits approval, and the QR type. Enter the code manually if scanning fails.
- Reflections/photos do not save: keep a copy, check the saved list to avoid duplicates, then report the issue if still missing.
- Old data is missing: check your account and House; do not delete data or pair again before identifying the cause.
Send your platform, version, screen, action and error time to Support. Do not send passwords/PINs/one-time codes. To delete data, see the account deletion guide rather than just uninstalling the app.
